Aftermarket warranty

Apologies if this is in the wrong section, does anybody have any recommendations for an aftermarket warranty? My caravelle supposedly came with 3 months "everything covered" and 12 months engine and gearbox, so far have had a couple of minor issues that the garage as yet have still not paid for despite saying they would. I've little confidence that anything major will be resolved. Am I better off just saving my own money and having an emergency pot or are there any warranties worth having?

You might want to remind the vendor of your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015;

Motor vehicles. Any fault developing withing 6 months from the date of sale shall be deemed to have been either present or developing at the point of sale, and the seller must rectify the fault at their expense.

As for the question of buying another warranty, or more correctly mechanical breakdown insurance policy... I personally have never done so and have never lost out. However, these are complex vehicles (multiplexed, turbo's, anti pollution systems, common rail, DSG, some with AWD, etc, etc) and can be expensive to diagnose and repair, and yours is already showing signs of issues...

Personally if you're within 30 days of purchase and it has a fault of any kind that theyre not sorting then id reject it for a full refund and take the business elsewhere.

Any warranty is an insurance policy, I’ve never seen one where ‘everything is covered’. As with all insurance read the small print twice BEFORE purchasing.
Everything in life requires an emergency pot, insurance is just a means of scaring the anxious into parting with their £ IMO.

It was a bit of a sweeping statement that everything is covered, I've always ensured I have an emergency pot but just wondered if there was anybody who may have used a mechanical breakdown/warranty type policy and considered it worthwhile, very much a personal choice I know. I've generally considered most as not worth the paper they're written on but it's been a few years since I've had a vehicle out of manufacturer warranty.

Even the official VW Warranty excludes oil leaks and breakdowns caused by carbon.
