Aftermarket Reversing Camera has stopped working

My aftermarket reversing camera has stopped working, maybe 1 in 15 times that I put the van into reverse the camera actually works. Rest of the time I get "no signal" on the monitor. I'm presuming that the camera is on its last legs.
Can I just buy any reversing camera and it will basically plug and pay fit with my existing monitor set up ?

It was already fit when I purchased the van, there is a 12v switched feed direct from the fuse box. It's been working for 2.5 years without issue. After a bit more research I'm confident it's a steel mate so I'm just going to order a new camera.

What replacement camera are you going for? Maybe it’s worth putting a better quality branded camera on there like a Kenwood or Pioneer? It’s hassle having to change it and re-wire so you wouldn’t want to have to do it again.
