Hi All,

My van is in build this week, it's having a hook-up and leisure battery installed.
For now the rear will just be windows/carpet, but in the future I anticipate a Kitchen/lounge/bed of some sort.

I need some advice on Sockets and Switch location.

I see from previous threads I have read that 12V, 240V and USB socket is very popular and i think i will definitely benefit from these.
Question is where and how many?

I was thinking maybe to have 12V, 240V and USB socket in the driver seat base back, this can be used if power is need both in or out the van;
then 12V, 240V and USB socket in the rear panel LH, high enough so that a U shape setup would not cover it.
The On the RH side have all the wires capped behind the panel so if i do installed furniture i can pull the wire/extend to power a fridge, power sockets etc.

Sound good or am I mad?

The rear ceiling will have down lights, 6 or 8 LED lights.
From experience where is best to put the switch or even switches?
Would you advise on door open entry lights, my workshop suggested if 8 by 6 are on a switch and 2 on a door entry, but will this be annoying for those night wees!

Lastly, where do you all buy your sockets and switch from, ideally black and all in one.

Can't wait to hear what you have all done

EXCITING TIMES :waving:

Make sure that you can reach light switches from the bed. Nothing worse than getting warm, then having to get out to turn the lights off !

Have a light switch just inside the sliding rear door so you don't have to reach over fumbling about in the dark to find it...

My downlighters are also touch on/off so you can choose which ones or how many you want on... I find that handy.

Good luck and post some pictures up when you can
