Advice removing double sided 3m tape without damaging paintwork please

We have an autovox solar powered reverse camera attached by the supplied 3m tape. Safe as houses and strong as a rock. We’re changing the camera. How do I remove the tape without damaging our paintwork ?
Thankfull for any advice you all can offer

Wet it liberally with IPA and “scrape” it off with a bit of plastic (credit card type thingy)

Bizarre but I’ve found soaking with a good spray of furniture polish really helps. It breaks down the adhesive. (Also WD40 works ok)
I’d dab it with tar spot remover (the kind you use for car detailing) and pick away at it then spray with the polish or WD40

I had a bit of the same issue with a rear dash camera and I removed the leftover glue with... acetone (nail polish remover).

WD40 worked really well for me.

Turpentine (White Spirit) works well....also excellent for tar spots too.

will any IPA work or do you need a specific brand? Buxton Axe Edge is my "goto" but Vocation Life & Death could be an option.

Yeah you don’t apply to the tape, just keep drinking it till you don’t care.
