Advice and recommendations re drive away awnings please

Interesting read and to see the differing opinions on awnings; drive away or not. We have just acquired an Outdoor Revolution Cuda FG as we now have to take the dog when we go away. We find putting it up & down to be not too troublesome. Only issue we found was finding a solution to water pooling on the porch/vestibule/canopy during a recent thunderstorm. Haven't quite solved that problem but I'm hoping a trip to the local Chandlers may come up with a solution. Any thoughts on solutions for the pooling problem gratefully accepted. The awning was attached to a Fiamma F45 rail using a Stitches and Steel driveway kit.

Re pooling porch.

We use a king pole with rubber mushroom on top, to push up the droopy bit.

That way it never pools up.

Just extend it in the porch area,

With the top bit reversed so that the top spike doesn't touch the canvas..... The mushroom bit pushes against it.

Very effective for us.

Thanks for the info'. I was thinking of something similar after seeing an awning / cover support pole at Force 4 Chandlery designed to do exactly the same thing. Great advice - thanks. https://www.force4.co.uk/item/Force-4/Awning-Cover-Support-Pole/K6L.
