Adding crossover to alpine upgrade set

Not sure if asked before. I have the ilx-f115d halo11 installed with the alpine 8" upgrade set in the front. I'm also installing alpine r series r-s65c.2 in the rear.
I find the crossover on the stereo not very good compered to my old halo9 ilx-f903d. I notice the alpine set in the front don't have a crossover. Is it possible to add one to the pillar. Would it make a difference?

Alpines crossover is "built-in" to the tweeter.

What don't you like about the crossover?

Ah OK, I was just wondering as like I mentioned the 903d stereo crossover I could set up better than the 115d. The sound is really good just was looking for a little more treble distinction. First pic is the 903 then 115.
Thanks Chris

You might find that you need to be tweeking you EQ more than your crossover. The crossover just dictates what frequencies go to which type of speaker.

You technically have 2. The radios and the tweeters.

I'll have another play when I get the rears fitted this week. I'm just sound deadening the plastic housing and then fitting the usb ports.
Thanks for your replies
