A van with side ventilation - should I buy?

Hi everybody,

I found a good van with a good price and auxiliary heater. But there is already the ventilation hole for ventilation on the back side.

I wonder if I should worry about it or I can use it as the ventilation for my van. I'm not going to cook inside but I'm going to insolate. Should I consider not to buy this car because of it (all other parameters are very satisfy me)?

From the daylight showing from the inside it doesn’t look weather tight.
Not the end of the world, use it to negotiate the price down.
If you fit windows that panel will be cut out anyway.
High up ventilation is good if you’re sleeping in the van, put a drop out vent in and you have a good convection flow.

Is that a vent on the floor as well?? Any ideas on what the van was previously used for??

The floor is for auxiliary heater I believe.. But not sure. Have no idea how it was used before.. Maybe transferring gas balloons? But then the ventilation must be on the roof - otherwise the gas can accumulates on the floor.. But why auxiliary heater then?

As above, if your plan was to fit windows, it wont be an issue anyway

Buy it gripfill a bit of metal over the inside of the hole fill it and get it sprayed
