A little advice on potential van purchase please

Hi guys,
A van I’m looking to buy went in for a diagnostic check yesterday as a light appeared on the dash just after filling up with fuel, once parked it sounded like the engine was still running for a while, like a re gen.
The light had gone by the next morning but I still thought it was worth getting checked.
The specialist indicated no faults found, no fault codes stored.
Am I right in thinking there should be a digital report or a report with all the data that could be emailed ?
Possibly a VDCS?
New to all this so any advice gratefully received.
Thanks

What light was showing? On a standard regen, there’s no indicator.

if the soot loading in the DPF gets too high, it may show a DPF light though.

The “auto start stop - off” icon will display in the MFD when re-genning (an ’A’ with a circular arrow round it, but crossed out). The cooling fans normally run at full chat also, and continue when the engine is shut down too.

Hi,
I’m told it was this one…..

As I’m sure you know, that light can mean many different things. Without a scan, you’d never know, and if it’s been cancelled, I’m not sure you can get a retrospective report.

Thanks mate, yeah that’s the thing.
I was hoping it would have had a code or problem that could easily be sorted.
Now I just have no clue.
