A couple of odd T6.1 issues

So this is our first T6.1 having had it a few months now I’ve got a couple of things I’m not overly happy with and never come across before.

first is an electronic noise coming from the front doors, either passenger or driver. When unlocking or opening the doors we get a little noise from somewhere up front, not a alarm noise more like a relay ?? An electronic short buzz?

second is when moving the gear lever from the center if you go left first (1st and 2nd) then move over towards the right (5th) you get a click/notchy noise same if you go towards the right first then move to the left if will click again.
im concerned that something is worn and will need to be replaced.

Its under warranty so I may end up taking it to VW but just wonder if anyone had experienced these before. I’ve tried searching for these but the first issue just brings up alarm style answers.

Same here, like a relay clicking on and off?

Apparently it is the fuel pump priming. This came up in a thread about a week ago which I cannot find. If I track it down I'll bung a link here for you.

Yeah I’ve heard that one but we’ve had other T6.1s here and none of them made this noise?

Can’t say I’ve noticed it on my 6.1 but it does power up the 2 usb sockets when I open the drivers door so it does use the door opening to bring certain things to life

I’ve had electrical issues since day one. Driver window would go up and down without touching a button, child lock fault comes on every time you start the van, doors lock and unlock at will as you drive. VW have replaced the steering wheel buttons twice, window controls once and all side door motors. Everything has been fixed. The child lock issue has been fixed however continues to fail. I had a flat battery and once battery recharged the fault has gone it’s been 3 weeks without a issue oh my van is 3 years old

If anyone has suffered the same problem with the gear selection clunk it’s the gear knob itself. The new ugly design lends itself to wear. Replacing the gear knob has resolved the annoying clicking issue when going across the gate from 5/6 to 1/2 and vice versa.
