7 pin towing wiring

Alright, after successfully changing the cabin pollen filters on my i3s, I probably got a bit ahead of myself and attempted to replace the damaged 7 pin towbar socket on my trailer.
I seem to have an extra grey wire. It didn't seem to go to a connection on the old socket. Do I just tape it up and forget about it ?

Yes, connect the 7 wires same as before and if everything is working as it should i would just isolate it with tape up out of the way

Probably the wire for Auxiliary equipment, used when you have connectors with 13 pins etc
