In our old 180 4motion it was impossible to spin the wheels from a standing start. I've got our 204 to do it a few times already; clearly that extra oomph is enough to overwhelm the 4wd a bit.
FWD 204s must be a bit of a handful!

Why you need this? Mine is 204 and it is not possible on a dry road. I feel I will broke something if I loose the clutch fas. On other hand you can not reverse the PRM more than 2500 if it is not gear engage.

There's a couple of rural roads here with bad visibility; you need to floor it to get out safely.

@Polzeylad , I didn't see you as a boy racer !!!!!
When you do this, is your cap back to front ?:thumbsup:

Not a boy racer but I do like to press on. Here's our M135i at Bedford West Autodrome. An absolute hoot!

Did Advanced driving aged 21 and then an intensive Police course aged 23. Been very into cars all my life - dad had a string of nice cars from a Porsche 928 to a 400bhp Ford P100 Cortina pickup.

Those courses are fantastic to do, close protection is the one tho, evasive manoeuvres, speed reversing, now that gets the blood pumping

Did that in rozzer training and taught a bit of off road driving as part of an engineering job. All great fun.
I bet J turning a T6 would be interesting....!

They didn't teach it as part of a CP course.

My 180 4motion can get a lick on and it will spin the wheels (all 4) but it's the lag and delay beforehand that pisses me off.

They do teach it, all depends who you're working for and in what country your doing it ;)

As for spinning all four wheels, unfortunately can't do it in my rear wheels drive motor :(

What is is (530i I think)?

Our BM gets pretty lairy when you turn traction fully off.

The Subaru grips like a limpet.

535 @Polzeylad , goes like a rocket, but must admit, never played with her fully with traction off, missus is normally tootling to work and back, she didn't even know it had a sports button till a week ago ( she has had it for 3 months !!!)
I rest my case ;)

Diesel m sport
My M135i replaced a 335d with that engine. One of the best diesels you can buy.

But don't forget, M sport is just visual; no extra performance (I spent ages looking for my 335d as I wanted an SE on 17s for the stealth look).

Also chose grey for our M135i because it "hides" the M Performance bits; the grey wheels, mirrors and the black exhausts. I go great lengths to get Q cars when possible!

It's strange, I have also spun the front wheels before the rears have cut in, much more than I ever did on my 230bhp hybrid 174 6speed T5. I wonder if the 204+dsg gets the torque down a bit quicker than how I drive a manual clutch. I could see a frontwd 204 eating through a set of rubber in super quick time, if enthusiastically driven. The biggest thing I have noticed is the how the speed really creeps up on me; I can regularly be doing 20mph more in the new van than the old van, and it feels the same; better be careful or I'll be going on the naughty boys course again:), or maybe straight to court:(

Certainly find the torque comes in early in our manual 204. There's a low rev flat spot but if I dump the clutch over 2k rpm, it gets all naughty. The torque isn't massive for such a heavy lump but it's definitely enough to spin those tyres briefly. A FWD 204 has got to not only eat tyres but also torque steer pretty badly.
I too have noticed myself suddenly doing slightly naughty speeds; I think it's because it's so quiet. Cruise control is definitely needed; used it loads in Spain.
