275/40-20 with 20x10” et40 wheels work on a Multivan 204? Can anyone comfirm?

Ordering my wheels on monday. I know that the rim’s fit but the dealer says 255/40-20 otherwise its gonna scratch on lock with 10j and 275 tire width.

I don’t like the stretch look and I don’t like when it scratches inner arch.

10" ET40 on the front might look a too big and stick out. The max i'd go is 9" depending on how low you're going, but 265 seems to be a good compromise.

Have a look here Will They Fit - Online Wheel and Tyre Fitment Calculator

You need to get it right first time, or it get expensive if you don't. (trust me, many of us know that)

As above, use willtheyfit.com

I have BK Racing 170 alloys which are 8.5J 20" ET40. I have fitted 255/40 R20 tyres and have zero issues. My van is lowered on B14s and dont have any rubbing issues. Also since the 255/40 has a bigger sidewall I can still bump and kerbs without worrying. The ride is good too.

I tried willtheyfit before.
Here is one picture compared with oem winter 17”
40 profile is What I also want.

My van has standard ”sport” suspension and Im staying with that. Some guys running 10j’s et40 allround with lowered van’s therefore it should fot with no problem on mine. Just the tire size im curious of...

Going out to try measuring on the van.

And i forgot to mention with 35 profile the speedo almoust got +/- 0% and with 40 profile its -5.18% but I can live with that.

Although the 35 profile tire give som extra clearence.

The wheels were sold out and the factory is on vacation back to start again.

Thinking of Vossen CVT 19x8,5 et40 or 19x10 et40 now. They are also totally sold out! Waiting on est. Delivery time from US.

What do you guy’s think?

I've just bought some 20" x 9" ET 45 , Putting 265/40 tyres on. was looking to purchase some 19" wheels but was struggling with load rating for the wheels ( T32 ) so had to opt for 20's.
Believe me I looked at every option out there, over the last month, wheel width's usually range from 8.5" to 10.5" but after considering all options , settled on 9" all round , least this way I can swap front to back to even out the tyre wear . A nice option is 8.5" front 9.5" rear if you can find the right wheels for you.
Good luck it'll drive you nuts ! :D

If you like the look of the CVT but cannot get hold of them, check out these Savini BM15 - LK Performance
LK should be able to get hold of a set pretty quickly if you speak to Tom. I run Savini wheels, and they are really nice quality, unless you opt for their diamond cut finish, but that's more the state of our winter roads, not their wheel. They have a really nice concave in most of their wheels if you look on their Youtube channel.
