Hello All

Where does everyone have there 12v / 240v sockets located?

I am looking to have, 2 x 12v sockets and 1 x 240v 3 pin socket near to my kitchen worktop.
I was also going to wire another 240v 3 pin socket, directly from an Inverter to the same location.

I then planned to wire 2 x 12v sockets into the N/S/R pillar trim, adjacent to the side sliding door.

Does anyone have any 12v / 240v sockets at the rear of the van at all, or near the passenger seat.
I was thing about power for my awning, but maybe a dual EHU splitter would be better, so I could power the van as well as trailing another lead directly into the awning.

Also, with regards to the Inverter. I'm looking at a 150w Solar Panel from Travelvolt's as well as the Victron controller attached to my 110ah Xtreme AGM battery.
What Inverter would suit my setup, looking to power a 750 watt Kettle and 750 watt Toaster, not at the same time obviously, or should I just buy a 12v Kettle and forget about the Inverter and Toast.

Any help much appreciated.

Cheers

Having built our camper we realised that we didn’t have enough USB charger outlets. We fixed this, and made sure they were located where we used them most - when sitting in the van in the evening using devices.
We rarely use 12v outlets now, but we do have a couple just in case, by the sliding door.

if you aren’t going to use the kettle much, then a simple gas burner is much cheaper.

Hi Pete

Thanks for the response. I take on board what you mean about the USB sockets.
I may change the 12v sockets to USB, as I've not installed them yet.

Cheers

I have 12V sockets, rather than USB's, as you can always add a double 12V to USB adapter thingy, but you can't buy a USB to 12V adapter!!
This way, you have the best of both worlds and somewhere to plug in your 12v Dream LEDS for future Forum meets.
