225/65/17

Hi, getting my new T6.1 in June. I bought some second hand 17 inch wheels and are planning to install some Pirelli Scorpion 225/65/17 on it. Do they fit without any modifications? Does anybody has that setup?

Hi guys, can someone explain to me if there are any effects by changing you fabric 205/65/16 wheels to for example 225/65/17 (isn't 65/17 just a big wheel at the end ?) ? Saying effects I mean like if it affects systems more than driving itself i've checked https://www.willtheyfit.com/ and it sais -8.73% speed errror, what about cruise control and any reports from vw computer do I have to perform some configuration in it after the change or will it be just fine and ready to drive ?

If you went 225/55/17 rather than 225/65/17 it would compensate for going from 16” to 17” and keep the rolling circumference similar

A little more wheel and a little less tyre?!!

For me, it’s more that I’m reluctant to play around with loading gearbox etc, but I have seen some lovely looking big wheels.
