2020 T6.1 110bhp 5 speed - complete flywheel and clutch kit?

Hi everybody,

I couldn’t find a definitive answer and the usual places that ask me to enter my Reg results in quite a few “this may fit but check before buying” ahhhh

Question - can anybody tell me which kit I’d need to buy to replace the dmf and the clutch, as a kit with all bolts and stuff included? The dmf is a little noisy from cold start, nothing too mad or clangy but it needs doing and I fancy doing it myself instead of turning it over to a garage. (I’ve done mechanical work on my Astra but only so far as suspension, hubs, pads and discs, brake lines, master cylinder, knuckle joint)

Thanks a lot, as you can see I’m a noob but trying to learn fast lol

Hi welcome to the forum.
When I replaced the clutch and flywheel on my T5.1 5 speed manual the mechanic told me to buy a decent one and the one he recommended was LUK.
That was thousands of miles ago and it’s been great.
Be wary of fake LUK clutches on likes of eBay at a cheaper price.
Do your research and make sure it’s genuine.

Thanks a lot for replying, my head is swimming been on this enquiry since early dawn this morning lol but so far I’ve narrowed down to Luk and Sachs, the latter being about £100 cheaper

I’ll send Nutexa frictions an email too I think

Nutexa are highly regarded
If you don’t go for a Nutexa I’d spend the extra £100 on the LUK

What about Sachs? The DSG version of the LUK is twice as much as the Sachs...

But are they really worth twice the price over Sachs? The DSG version is so much more expensive for some reason :(

I couldn't say - not familiar with the Sachs item. I can only say LuK are a decent quality manufacturer, and (usually, in most applications) reasonably priced.

I can also say this is one of the reasons I personally eschewed DSG - as a very long term ownership proposition I wanted to avoid paying more than I had to in order to keep it on the road as it ages. And before anyone complains I've no issdues with DSG either way, it was simply a purely a long term-cost calculation.

Has anyone ordered a LUK clutch kit from eBay, specifically carparts in motion? Currently at £485.00 is that a genuine product?
Cheers
