Lovely looking van - I'm sure you won't have it too much longer! I have no connection with the seller, apart from we bought a Kombi from Joe earlier in the year. It was just as described by Joe, and the photos he'd taken. Receipts were all there for every service / MOT / work done, and everything was super organised. Joe had really looked after our van and was super easy to deal with. Buying privately can be a minefield, but equally there are still some genuine people out there. If I was in the market and had the budget, I'd be getting another train to Tiptree!

Ill share the current story before judgement is passed…
I bought the vans…correct, and have put it back up for sale. Was bought with my heart and not my head, as you can see, it an awsome spec. Nothing wrong with selling a van
As you can see from above i do buy and sell(with a good reputation)but mainly to use then sell, generally for more than purchased. This way i don’t lose money and can turn a profit. This one i drove to work a few time and is to nice for 20k miles a year.( plus 5 hours to collect, with no issue)
I put it up for sale in a number of places including facebook, where i got similar comment as above.
Iv also had someone saying theres damages to offside front, cylinder head has been bodged and mapping issues, also clocked from 80k to the mileage shown. I appreciate no one is going to want to buy on here if this is the case but if this is true, i wouldnt have bought it either. Im 100% honest. Its already booked in at vw to check if this info is true. Lastly they have said that the leighton vans invoice has been doctored regarding digital dash being fitted to doctor the mileage. This was fitted by leighton vans when they purchased.no truth.. all mot and service mileage makes sense and is on main dealer database.
This same person was told this by the owner as well as done the work…. Therefore the previous owner is either untruthful and breaking the law regarding clocking….(would be a legal case that i would per-sue )
Iv only had this info since this morning but they was still willing to buy for 37k even with the supposed issues, he then said the previous owner is willing to buy back at 37k, once again why if you've had issues… iv also had a ebay offer of 37k( this being from the same village i bought it) All these offers within 3 hours…..
Seems fishy to me that all these people live within a 20mile radius in scotland and i live in Essex…hmmm

I apologise if this doesn’t read well but I'm dyslexic

Please bare in mind theres 2 sides to a story. If the above is true then legal action will be taken and any issues would be corrected. To date, there are no issues with the van. Yes i would make a profit at any price over 37k but the sale was obviously agreed so i don't see a issue.

I have fb messenger conversations of this but is long winded and appreciate its he said she said….

I bought it for 37k and put it up for 44.5k…then all of a sudden i have been told it has x,y and z issues. Why would you say this unless someone has a issue with me.

The screenshot of the fb post above is someone who lives in touching distance of the previous owner and works in the same field as him….but said he has carried work out on the van which had been bodged and knows the issues, but is happy to buy it at 37k(what i paid) as he loves vw t6.
makes no sense.
I believe they are just unhappy with me selling

Hopefully people can see through the rubbish. Once again if there was any issues i wouldnt lie and sell it

Thanks
Joe

Sounds fishy like you say.
I would be interested in what your vw inspection comes back with.

Is it just me that feels like the old owner has a bee in his bonnet because the new owner might be making a few quid of the van he bought from him ?
At the end of the day he sold the van for a price he was happy with and the new owner is listing it for a price he is happy with, if a buyer is happy to pay that price then all good and well !

The seller has paid his membership to advertise his van
