Hi all, I have a 2016 VW T6 Startline which requires a new BCM which I have paid for and ordered through my local VW Auto specialist and it is on back order, been a month since ordering and no news.. has anyone got any ideas on rough lead time for these? Or had same issue? Wipers constantly on ect.. would really love to get this sorted and not sure if it’s even going to arrive very soon? Any suggestions welcome (well sensible ones!) Thanks Tim

hope is that BCM, because issue you said - might be not from BCM
BCM only do what other module tell them to do
of course can be faulty inside
but you should do more diagnostic to find out if any "abnormal " signal is going to BCM

Yes it is the BCM this has been diagnosed by VW Technical first of all they thought it was a corroded wire they found but when they replaced it all was good for a short period but after further testing and diagnostic checks in garage have found it to be the BCM, they have ordered it but as I say the BCM is on back order and was wonderIng if anyone has had same issue and if they could shed some light on how long they had to wait.. seen 16/20 weeks, a year!! Some say part no longer available new
why not to use 2nd hand ?
Yes this is something the garage has suggested.. purchase second hand or refurbished and they will fit it and code correctly, there has been no expense spared on the van so far if something has needed doing or needs doing in near future for example.. cam belt, dual mass and clutch I have just had it done so wanted to replace for new if possible to make sure it doesn’t cause issues again in future but may have to look down second hand route
