If you aren’t bothered by looks etc, it seems a bit weird you are going for a VW in the first place

Hubby had a T4 once…. Personally was interested in something relatively reliable, held its value well, and I could drive. Found a transit fine but needed an extension in the handbrake…Ducati not made for little woman… VW seemed to tick most boxes. The many threads on here helped me decide on the specifics of SWB v LEB, power of engine, etc etc. Suffice to say swapped vw logo seats for non logo and saved cash….

Mine didn't feel great on the 16s. Plenty tread, good brand of tyre. Felt like they were too small.

Yeah, some tight junctions / crossroads it felt like the van wanted to keep going straight ahead.

Feels much more planted on the 20s.

Sounds like you might want somewhere in between.

I'd get the 20s, see how it feels and if you hate it at least they have some value where as the 16s dont.
