12v supply from rear roof light

Hi, I have a van with 2 roof lights in the cargo area. Is it possible to take a 12v supply from one of these? I checked and it seems to supply 12 volts on ignition and/ if a door is open. Trying to install a cheap reverse camera using a relay and the reverse lamp for signal. The camera has an inline circuit to transform 12v to 5v.

It seems to be energised if the car is unlocked, no power if locked.

Also, originally tried using the reverse light to power the camera but only worked when engine wasn’t running and would display noise when engine was running (there is another thread discussing this issue on this forum). Trying not to have to take 12v lead from fuse box under dash if at all possible.
