12v Sockets In Parallel

I plan to fit 3off 12v sockets down one side of the camper. Should I run a + & - cable to each socket directly from the fuse box? or can i wire the sockets in parallel therefore just having one supply from the fuse box?

I would use 27amp cable, any fuse size suggestions? I was thinking 20amp?

All depends on what you plug plug in. Personally I would wire and fuse them independently. Its no extra effort to run 3, 6mm cables all at once and you will save time with the terminals.

I don't do things by halves :) no I didn't mean 6mm

6mm ? seems a tad large

Depends on the load and length of the cable run.

if you going to Draw 15A from a socket in the rear with 4/5 meters of cable run, then volt drop will be an issue, the thicker cable will be beneficial (thinner cable will just heat up).

if you was only plugging in a 50mA phone charger, the the thinner cable might be ok.........BUT what if in future you needed to plug in a bigger load? Fridge/Tyre pump etc etc.

id go with the bigger cable run from the start.

Also just use the chassis as the ground instead of running a black ground back to the battery. running a black wire back to the battery will just double the overall resistance.

so id say run out 3x 15a fused cables to the rear sockets and use chassis as the ground.

The example below is a pre-made lead, the specs state:
12ft long,
6mm 15A coper cable cores
Fuesd @ 10A for 180w max
