12V regulators

Hi all,

Just need to pick your brains / get some advice. So my lights were not broken and working fine but i had read recently that 12V regulators should be fitted after the switch not before and mine was before the switch so i was trying to sort my lights in the dark which is pretty daft in the first place and I've got frustrated so walked away for now.

Hopefully you might spot/say something I've not thought about.

I have got the cbe dimmer switch for my lights

And i have this voltage regulator

Since I've swapped the regulator to after the switch the dimming still works but i cant turn the lights off! Not sure what I've done!

Why do you think you need the regulator at all ?

Pete

Possibly, but I have 2 of those CBE dimmers fitted, and no issues in 4 years.
If you do fit a regulator then it goes before the dimmer.

Fair enough, well like i said it was before the dimmer before i started messing and it was perfectly fine! Should have just left it alone.

Thanks for the info!
