‘New’ Tyres turning whitish grey.

Just had two ‘new’ tyres fitted. 6/7/20. They started to turn a whitish grey which doesn’t wash off. Spotted the date stamps 34/18 and 39/18.
f1 autocentre, Burton.

Tyre shine of some kind is your friend.

I would have expected a tyre place to have a higher turnover of tyres than to fit some from mid 2018 tbh.

Maguire tyre endurance will bring them back - incredible stuff - might take a couple of coats - I use a washing up sponge (the small ones that are sponge one side more abrasive in the other )

I find tyre endurance really sticky......unless I had a dodgy bottle. I gave mine away.
I like AF tyre creme. Nice satin finish if applied like you do with the washing sponge.
The key I find is to make sure the tyres are scrubbed clean and bone dry before application.
If I'm in a rush I think AS Highstyle works a treat too.

I think I prefer it because it felt like there was less Spray - either way I agree a tyre shine should help bring the grey back

Carpro PERL is my favourite product as it leaves a much more 'natural' looking shine.
