    Which tyres for 7.5J 18’s

Looking at how the 235/55/18 compares in circumference to standard transporter sizes, I'm surprised that this would under read at all? Hopefully the speedo hasn't already been adjusted.

    Tyres for 18” 8.5J wheels

Nice wheels! where did you buy them from? yes OEM size for 18's is 255/45/18. although people have also fitted 235/50/18 and 235/55/18, do a search on the forum for more info. Main thing to ensure is that you get the correct load rated tyres for your van.

T6.1 Speedo Adjustment for larger wheels

Just to add to the collective T6.1 Speedo data, after mine was changed from Wheel circumference variant 1 to Wheel circumference variant 3 it makes the Speedo bang on for 235/55/18’s against GPS.

All terrain tyres - recommendations and pictures

SuperMetal Rig 18s Falken Wildpeak AT3s @ 235 55 18 Stock suspension (for now) 2WD 140 DSG Wheels have lifted the van approx 30mm and boy do you feel higher. Speedo now reads bang on. Road noise is at least as good as the stocker 16" alloys. Overall very happy with these wheels so far.

    Oh no Tyres

Hi Gordon, I run these sizes too - overall very happy with them. I need to get some new fronts, what ones did you go for out of interest? What loading did you opt for / need? Thanks Cliff

Wheels again - What difference does width make?

Hi all, Hoping for some assistance, and I believe I'm asking a new question... at least, my google searches haven't helped me yet. I hace recently become the very happy owner of a 2016 T28 Highline Bluemotion Kombi. I knew the alloys on it were pretty dinged, and so expected to replace them...

I have finally had my wheel variant changed from wheel circumference variant 1 to wheel circumference variant 3 on my T6.1 and can confirm that the Speedo is now bang on with 235/55/18’s against GPS.

Spare wheel carrier: Maximum spare wheel size?

Practical wheel/tyre combo for full laden T6.1

Yes, I've got a 16" spare too, so 235/55/18 on the road wheels and 215/75/16 on the spare, which is 1.8% bigger than the road wheels but it'd get me to a tyre depot OK Or, to put it in perspective, it'd be the same as driving with 3 bald tyres and one brand new one. Actually, 205/75/16...

    What Have You Bought Today?

I am having to wait for my size to come out also. Many tyre manufacturers also bring out sizes in drips though hopefully it will not be too long. BFG have also brought out new or updated tyres and various sizes are taking a while to appear, while other, perhaps more used sizes come out this...

    Wheel/Tyre Conundrum

I am in a wheel/tyre dilemma and wondered if you could help I have an older set of tyres and after market rims 235/55/18 that I put on my newly acquired 2017 T32. It didn't look right as there was too bigger gap between the top of the tyre and the arch. It didn't look rubbish but 'not right'. I...

    17” All-Terrain tyres

235/65/17 is a popular size, especially with AT tyres. It will be slightly larger in diameter than your 235/55/18, by nearly 22mm in total, giving you slightly more ground clearance while also reducing the arch gap. Have a look on "willtheyfit.com" to compare sizes, if you haven't done so...

235/55/18 on a lowered van no clearance.

I did not. Currently still sitting in my garage! Need to find the time to do all 4corners up at once which is proving difficult.

Think maybe I should have gone for 20” wheels

With the Koni Active dampers and springs you're limited to about 60mm drop max. I'd look at a set of Eibach 60mm comfort low springs. These have adjustable rear collars which are a must for any camper on springs otherwise you'll get a nose up stance. I'm a big wheel fan so I'd always go bigger...
