Thanks for your reply, im a bit dubious about the 12v feed that powers the current 7 pin by pass as i cant find where it is fed from i suspect just the rear interior lights or similar. Im hoping to pick up two permanent lives from under the pass seat one for the bypass relay and one for the...
I’ve quickly done a sketch from your sketch. You wont need a switch on the ignitionlive as it doesn’t have power unless the ignition is on so won’t drain the starter.
This post should help with the ignitionlive feed.

I asked about the OBD port here but the conclusion was that it would affect the battery.
What I’ve done with my (pair of) Garmin Mini 2 is hook it up to power only when ignition is on. I used a spare ignitionlive fuse slot under the dash. It works great.
A picture of dash display?
What's shown under: OBDeleven > Control units > Engine > Live data > Air cleaner degree of soiling
Anyways, I would expect there is a fault code in the engine controller. Clearing that perhaps?
Or possibly just the traditional way - unplug and plug the MAF connector...
It was another member on here who posted them up originally but I can’t find that thread. He posted a video clip of the night rider start up sequence.
I’m sure thread was called not bad for under £12
Here’s a link to the DRL.
Order the 1.8m
TBH I think a 2m would be the perfect length as...
I see. Have a look at @Dellmassive’s post here. Some way down the message is a list of connections under the passenger seat. See if it matches the errors you’re seeing.
Any thoughts on the easiest way to get an ignitionlive feed to under my driver's seat?
I've read the post here -
https://www.t6forum.com/threads/ignition-live-under-passenger-seat-how-its-done.11831/
But not sure how to do so physically - My passenger seat is quite full with leisure battery...
I'm struggling to find the split charge relay. Plus I don't know what it looks like.
Because it'll be a swivel seat and a heater under the driver's, I'll have to extend it all to the back of the van
This is where I'm at. (with the van still working)
The purple plug looks factory, says...
I have this and installed it late last year.
I'm no qualified auto electrician but here is my experience and setup.
Thick 16sqmm red cable from the vehicle battery to the input of the DCC. All neg cables (16sqmm) taken to a local chassis point under the seat.
Portable solar suit ase connects via...
I ordered my van with the interface under the passenger seat. It allows for an easier installation of the VB air suspension & as you say, the engine run signal is handy for B2B chargers. I think it was about £90 as an option on a new build, so a no brainer.
Look at this thread Blackvue Dashcam Install
The photo of the fuse box shows both the the live feed and switched feed.
Edit, permanent live and switched live
Anyone know what the red plug unit is for behind the glovebox?
I want to tap into the switched live black/green at the top of it to trigger a relay under the seat which will give me a few switched live fuses in the existing underseat fusebox. I know I could run a wire from the headlight...
Any idea what wire is the BCM feed under passenger seat? I have a Caravelle so hopefully there's one. I need an engine on feed to power a relay that I want to use so my inverter only functions with engine running so this sounds ideal.
It shouldn't be possible to have the same error at all speeds. The extra distance travelled will increase as a percentage so the speedo error will change too.
That's unusual. I've read a lot of these 235/65/17 threads and the only time that I recall the speed being more than 1 mph out (at high...
Ric1962, I've got a Hillside Birchover, albeit mine is a T6.1.
Picking up on your point about it not coming from the factory with a leisure battery, I'm pretty sure Hillside have actually always sourced new vans with the VW factory auxiliary battery option, (installed under the front...
