Ok so a bit of an update. Stripped away the old head unit wiring and a lot of the previous auto electricians work, he wired the revering camera, tv and rear lights in.
So I took the iso block and took a feed from the ignitionlive. I split this in to two 12 sockets. 1 was plugged in to a cheap...
Hi everyone,
Newbie to the forum and first time owning a T6 camper van.
We decided try the van out for the first time at the weekend and found that the starter battery was going flat over night when on hook up (absolutely fine when parked for days off EHU).
Checking over the CTEK charger I...
...Still to do:
Install an MPPT so I can hook up the solar panel to it and then connect the mppt to the leisure battery
Re-run an ignitionlivefeed wire from under passenger seat and relocate rear ‘mood’ lighting after I removed the storage pod they were attached to
Decide whether I *need*...
Hmm looks like pin 10 might not be connected at all in the socket, these are T5.1 diagrams from 2010 onwards and dated 10.2014, it's definitely different to T6. And if pin 9 is not used by the 13-7 pin adaptor, neither of the livefeeds has anything to do with the issue.
Then next would be...
I’d also like to install this USB charger that doesn’t draw power when the ignition is off.
Are the two items below correct and all that is required for this?
⬆ Thlevel USB C Car Charger Socket Dual USB Outlet PD & QC 3.0 Fast Car Charger Socket
⬆ KOLACEN Mini Blade Type Fuse Assorted Kit...
Hi all I'm looking for some help please
T6 cxha 150 ps t30 120k miles
Yesterday when driving on the Dual carriageway my van cut out I lost power and managed to get onto the hard shoulder.
I attempted to restart with no joy it was cranking over but would not attempt to fire up.
No engine...
Hello. I've purchased some T6 power folding wing mirrors from Travelinlite.
I'm at a sticking point with accessing the required ignition/live wires behind the lower dash panels because I can't find where the lower black trim comes off.
Has anyone fitted them before or know how I remove the lower...
I wouldn’t know where to begin to discuss. But I do have two new streams of info that may may not help?! Or just raise more questions.
Swapped driving with wife to allow me to study Victron shenanigans.
A) noted when I turned the DC ti DC off in settings, the Solar kicked in (weak sun) and...
A small amount of trickle draw is not necessarily bad, it might take literally months to pull enough to make a van not start. It’s all about how much it pulls and how often you drive / charge the van.
OEM relay connects the batteries when engine is running. So the relay feed is not really ignitionlive, more like engine run signal.
Also, T6 smart alternator is not charging your main battery all the time, only when needed, so if it's not charging you will not see charge voltage in aux...
Thanks, I only need the bypass for the ignition when I'm driving, so I can power the red led using the ignition line through the relay so it's either red when normal or yellow when switched. Should work, will post and update!
Hi guys after some advice. I have installed my spot light kit and all works fine. I have one connection to make which switches the relay. The cable is around the front light passenger side near the battery. I obviously have the light near this but unsure as to the connections here which would...
...units turn off after around 30mins of use without the ignition on to save the battery. I'd say the wiring is not quite right and the radio doesn't know it's getting an ignitionlivefeed. Is it still just a case of swapping the red and yellow over, or do they need an adapter harness @Absolut5 ?
I took 2 switched feeds and 1 perm live from the fuse box below the gear lever. Had to dismantle the lower dash to get the fuse box off its fixings and insert the connectors from behind into spare slots.
USB sockets ideally should be on an ignition switched live as they draw a tiny current all...
