Looking for recommendations for a basic(non thermal) external screen wrap for a T6.1 with winddeflectors and a Reimo poptop ideally that packs pretty small.
Already have a decent thick thermal one, just need a lightweight one for a European trip that will block out the light and keep it a bit...
Winddeflectors 100% worth it, you can leave the windows open to allow a bit of airflow at day and night even when it's raining outside. I've got Heko ones, tried Climair but reverted back to Heko
I bought a set along with a load of other stuff in preparation for my van arriving. I’ve fitted everything else, from mud flaps to winddeflectors, but held off on the side bars. They’re still in the box in the garage. My van is a T28 SWB and I’m conscious of weight, especially after the wife...
I even went as far as fitting front winddeflectors regarding pressure diffs. That doesn't work either, the fact is they are just a lousy loose fit in the channel, nothing to do with air pressure, just a bump in the road.
Each to there own I guess, I foolishly thought that buying opening...
You can achieve some passive ventilation by propping the tailgate part open and having the front windows open partially (using Heko or similar winddeflectors).
Picked up my Climair smoked winddeflectors today from Eurocarparts. Pondered the useless fitting instructions for a while and eventually worked out what I was supposed to do. They then only took seconds to fit without any drilling or miniature screws to lose. Very happy with the result, as is...
I guess I will find out but it will be as the 140bhp. Having driven the 6 speed 150bhp I couldnt get a 102 or a 110bhp. No offence intended :)
Thanks all for the kind comments following my doofus 1st post.
Hi All
Lost my passenger side Heko winddeflector in the fast lane of the M4 last week. Wasn’t about to walk back and salvage the remnants.
Was about to chuck the driver side deflector in the bin. I thought I’d check that no one needs one. Free to collect 5 mins from junction 32 of M4.

Hi all, I have a 2018 T6 and my wife ( the passenger) likes a little fresh air while driving, we have NO winddeflectors and the window rattles when about 3 cm down, it drives her mad 😂 the drivers side (mine) is perfectly ok.
However I would love it if someone came up with a fix as it is abit...
Arrived in Mallaig early for the ferry to Skye so did a little research (plenty of subjects here!)
Jerba conversion with a "proper" winddeflector, but clearly that doesn't solve the problem either, since he's bunged hard rubber in the channels (no hole for water to drain)
Bilbos...
Depends what you want to use it for ?
There are a few cheap mods you could go for......sounds like a golf door seals, heka or similar winddeflectors, rubber window rubber to stop your shot sliding into the dash abyss....
Noticed I had a lot of wind noise the other day on the motorway and found that our vanmax poptop wasn't closing behind the winddeflector.
Quick message with our converter and we fixed it today; loosened the bolts one side at a time and pulled the hinges backwards (the mounting frame is slotted)
Just to let anyone that is interested in purchasing climair winddeflectors for the t6 or t6.1
Euro car parts have them on offer at the moment at £37.49 which is definitely the cheapest I have found.
I collected some today and fitted them a moment ago.
Hi All... I did something similar using pipe insulation (22mm). I used Velcro to attach a strip along the front curve of the Pop Top and simply laid two short lengths into the gutters, ensuring the front strip cam down onto them, trapping them in place. I then pulled the Pop Top down good and...
...to a rougher road or maybe a stiffer aftermarket suspension may push an already sensitive system over into false triggering?
For the record I have Climair fitted so there is a little more drag on final closing, but this was at 50% closed where it was nowhere near any of the winddeflector...
