...2017 TRANSPORTER TRENDLINE.
I am looking at fitting repair wires to the back of the fuse box located in the lower dash to run a 12v switchedlive to a 6 way circuit blade fuse board located under either the passenger or drivers seat, this would then just run USB chargers, LED lighting...
I'm not convinced the Renogy charger knows what it's doing 🤣
The Renogy app is very confused when it comes to any "history".
What I found today was that the smart alternator decided it didn't need to charge the starter battery, even though I switched the headlights and aircon on. Even a few...
Fit a small rocker switch so you can turn the Bluetooth controller off. It draws a fair bit even with the lights turned off.
I wired mine into the load output of my mppt controller and then put a fuse and switch in the circuit. The switch is in my ceiling panel.
46% Battery charge level reading on Carista dongle. Before I switched engine on I looked at a live feed and was showing 46%. I mean that's lower than half. It was slowly going up as I was driving to 66%. But what reading would be normal?
I think so.
I installed my Orion XS a few weeks ago and took a couple of journeys to work out the optimum settings, having used an AI assistant to help me dial it all in. I used Copilot and told it what charger and battery I was using, uploaded screenshots of the Victron app and the model...
I'm trying to add some additional spot lights in the rear of my T6 which I can turn off and on at any time.
Having tried to tap into the wiring for the current lighting, I can't seem to find a permanant live.
Whichever wires I tap in to, the lights still turn off when the interior lights switch...
@Captain Quick Reference the purple wires: I’m guessing that they will be associated with lighting circuitry.
Fuse FA2 on the CBE fuse panel is for lighting and has purple wiring.
Hillside’s electrical layout diagram shows purple wiring going to the control panel light switch and as a permanent...
...off to stop battery drain. The camera only comes with 1 cable for a piggyback fuse so I have no option of fitting both permanent and switchedlive.
I already have a piggyback fuse fitted for my tracking device. So are there any fuses I should avoid in the centre live fuse run? I presume I...
No mate it's not an ex-police vehicle, it's a 2017 van converted to a camper. It's been spot since we got it, apart from the after market head unit flickering and cutting out. I'm thinking the 'repair' he done to get it fixed has involved a wiring mistake connected to the ignition live or...
I think @EAN ‘s installation is similar to that of my 2023 Birchover. Attaching the spade connector (from the solar controller +ve output) onto the lower CBE terminal allows current from the PV panel to flow to the auxiliary (leisure) battery via the factory-installed rear-to-front cable that...
I’d use the empty ones you identified (left or right hand rows, centre is switched) using Roadtripper’s instructions to ensure the fuse is correctly positioned.
Yeah when you plug the van in to mains the 240v side of things becomes live. I assume your 12v electrics are wired through the PMS which is why you still need the LB connected to the ‘battery in’ terminals.
As long as you leave the red charger switch off the PMS won’t output anything to the...
A recent purchase was this semi flexible lecture pointing stick, pictured on my Caravelle Blinds pack as a clue...
The Caravelle doesn't have swivel seats or the handy B Pillar interior lock button and when "camping" in the back it's hard to reach the driver's door.
Yes I could take the door...
That totally doesn't make sense to me. I thought the whole point of ignition live is to stop something running when the ignition is off?
That's how my Sterling works, and most electronics that use ign live, but like @Dellmassive mentioned my charger does run for a couple of minutes after...
