I decided to build a rectangular frame sled (L profile aluminium) for the solar panel after reading the forum posts about flexible solar panels failing. I will then fix the sled with solar panel under the pop-up top roof rack, which will leave an air gap so the panel will stay cooler.

A lot of other VW cars have a timer on their rear window heater and mirrors, but haven't checked my van. I suspect it may depend on model build level etc.

The Evo 7.4 fitted in my LWB is over 7 years old and is still faultless. The individual flat pack build experience is what it is..

The turbo builder is confident in 450-480 bhp on a k04 64 on 99ron, he builds them regularly, obviously fueling dependant.

Hi, we used to have a T4, which we absolutely loved. Sold it on, moved to bigger van but are now in search of a perfect van to become our next build & adventure van - 4Motion with locking rear differential. I know, rare as hens teeth but ever hopeful.

Sorry, I meant error on the build sheet. It say the van was built with 3 seats (1 + 2) however the van was built with 2 captains seats (1 +1 ).

For 95mm cable could I use the old rear seatbelt hole? Would that make a good ground if it was taken back to the metal? It’s a perfect location for my build.

I am trying to decide whether to go for one of the U build bed, seating & storage layouts. Or buy a nice side pod & a rock n roll type bed.. Has anyone here experienced both and can give their experiences on the pros and cons?

What does your build sheet mention under "follow-on warranty" - that's what's VW mothership is committed to?

This sounds great, v similar to my needs. Would been keen to see how you do the cable management and how it all connects up. Something I'd like to do myself if its easy enough to fit the led lights etc.

I have a REIMO UPGRADE PREMIUM REAR TAILGATE AWNING TENT I think its awesome, super fast to put up, can even close the tailgate if your away without taking it off and it just builds itself like magic when you open it again.

That's good to hear. I'm in the same boat and about to change the EGR valve and cooler. I have also seen the Hella one at GSF for circa £248 and wondered how you thought it compared to the standard one when side by side for build quality? Seems like a massive saving.

The wiring is good, but I'm wondering about the pump's adjustment piston, which I pulled out to check. It has scratches, and maybe the pump isn't maintaining pressure. The oil is leaking sideways and not building pressure?
