You really have two options. Make an extra hole in the grommet for the light wiring loom. I decided against this as I thought it would be difficult so seal and might split over time. Or to drill two additional holes, one for each cable. I chose this option and used a grommet and silicone...
...it under the side step, but there doesn't appear to be any holes into the pillar. I'm therefore wondering if I can drill a hole through the metalwork behing the step, grommet and feed cable up this way... but not keen on making new holes if I can help it!. Has anyone ever done this?
cheers
Dan
This should work well. I've got the 800w charger connected to a delta 2. I run mainly the interiors cargo lights( led bulbs )and sometimes the radio using maintenance mode. Although the battery seems to handle the led light anyway without maintenance mode. Charger sometimes dips below 800w...
...Passenger seat and seat base out so I could run cable from there, under the floor lining, over the front near side wheel well. Used the upper grommet through the firewall which comes through right behind the battery as the stereo amp power cable was using the lower grommet and no way was...
...refit, I also had some gunk building around the seals on injector#1 :
- new copper seals
- new o-rings
- new rocker cover seals
- new bolt grommets
- new stretch bolts.
I found injector #3 had carbon around it and the copper washer stayed in the bore so explained the misfire. I remove the...
Hi @jimc91 - appreciate this post of yours was a while ago, but I stumbled upon it and would like to follow the same approach for some portable solar suitcase panels that I attach to my barn door T6. It’s a very neat solution. If you don’t mind me asking, what did you use for the connections...
Yeh grommet/seal's not right under the brass fitting ... wants taking off and redoing.
And not sure what that random screw though the top (?) of your fuel tank is doing!
I have a Gok regulator in a gas box. With a 907 bottle. Does the regulator have to be specifically fitted vertically. I’ve fitted mine horizontally with 8mm pipe coming in the side of the gas locker. Hole is grommeted. Thanks
There's probably aready a grommet with wiring going through the scuttle up top from the battery. That's what I used to feed the DC charging feed from SB to LB inside.
Thanks @Niro for this excellent post which gave me the confidence to tackle my rattling Reimo! After lifting my seat out of the rails, and sliding blocks of wood underneath to allow me to inspect the various parts, I found that the retaining disc of the brake that sits inside the rail had come...
Once you get the whole actuator out attached to the handle and refitted the new actuator did you put sealant around the door handle when you reinstalled it or can you get a new seal to go on there. Looking to change my actuator so have not removed it yet. The door has the usual water leak coming...
...done earlier, I just forgot) and tidy up the cables. They run down inside the door and behind the rear light. I drilled to holes and used grommets and sealant. This is also where I fitted a MC4 inline fuse.
I’m pleased with the results; it fits flush with the cross bars and blends in with...
On my 6.1 theres a banking grommet on the bulkhead beneath the pedals. Peeling back the top edge of the carpet reveals it. Very handy and easy to access.
Hi
I am looking for the grommets that are on a barn door T6 which cover the holes if it was a tailgate
4 small square grommets
can someone please give me a part code
Thanks
Could be cables broken in the door (they go through the large rubber ribbed grommet). Though if your "helper" was ham fisted, could they have cut those wires as well?
