Address 01: Engine (2D2D2-CXEB)
31103 - SCR NOx Catalyst Bank 1
P20EE 00 [096] - Efficiency too Low
the ECM does not think your NOx reduction system is working the way it should, too much NOx is being detected.
I recently had the engine Amber light come on constant, stopped and called VW , they sent out AA and he found code 31103 but no info?
He suggested deleting the code, continuing on my journey (92miles) and take it in to VW to double check.
The fault hasn't returned, the adblue reads 1800m.

00397 - Display test, blue segments [this cleared when I re-set tyre pressure values]
Engine
31103 [no text, just the code]
I'm not going to panic as there's no worry lights on the dash.
...with Carista just to see they fade away - after a couple of runs.
The reason being that this far I have seen more than 20 times the fault (31103) surface up to “confirmed” level and within a few startups fading down to “pending” and eventually disappearing from Carista. But still seen by...
...came on, I think it was without cruise, flat steady speed/terrain, approx 60 mph
Interestingly, I've been reading up on other threads and the 31103 I think can be linked to adblue? If so, that might make sense as it was topped up the day prior. Before top up circa 2000 miles left, after...
31103 = P20EE - SCR NOx Catalyst Bank 1 - Efficiency too Low.
This is unfortunately very common, usually harmless, but there are also quite opposite cases...
P20EE is standardized OBD emission fault code and 31103 is just VW equivalent, here they are actually just one fault.
As you mentioned...
02256 - will prob be you have left something in the 12v socket or OBD2 port draining power when van is sleeping - or a dashcam running 24/7?
@mmi found:
In the VCDS coding for plain "31103"

P20EE 00 [039] - Efficiency too Low
T6 Fault Codes?
.
Hmmm... I'd say too many... to be real ones..:confused: - too bad Carista doesn't show time stamps of the faults.
31103 = P20EE - definite yes - a common one.
00397 Tyre pressure warning- yes.
Central electronics 03303, 03304 - side sliding doors - possible.
All the sensor faults 005xx...

The faults are "explained" as follows:
31103 - SCR NOx Catalyst Bank 1 -- P20EE 00 [036] - Efficiency too Low
and
33262 - Reductant System Performance Bank 1 -- P204F 00 [096] - Malfunction
The first one is unfortunately quite common and the root cause is/was unknown even to VW. A software...
...should not have anything to do with (missed or unfinished) DPF regens. Did the emissions light stay on till your visit to the dealer?
The dealer has the fault code in their records - perhaps a call to get that? Just the code is enough (should be a few digits, something like 31103, P20EE, etc.)
15560 - EGR VALVE?

P20EE 00 [039] - Efficiency too Low
Grabbed the above out of the engine (CXFA) with a VCDS. It was also confirmed at the dealer. It...
...light came up so called VW Roadside Assistance. Got a very nice man from the AA who diagnosed these codes, phoned VW. VW did not know what 15560 was and 31103 related to Adblue. VW advised to clear the codes and if they do come back then I should drop in to VW. Has anybody else had these codes?
The P20EE and 31103 are just different identifiers of a fault.
How did you read the fault codes - Carista, VCDS, Torque?
Have you reread the fault codes if they still exist? I've seen this code to fade away out of the reach VW OEM tool in a few engine startups. After hooking up the VW OEM tool...
Engine light can on for me again the other day - read the codes as P20EE and 31103.
Booked into dealer on weds but since then the engine light has gone off this time (happened twice before)
May as well take it into the dealer as they’ll still be able to read the codes? And then fob me off as...
Besides the infamous 31103 - SCR NOx Catalyst Bank 1 P20EE 00 [100] - Efficiency too Low -fault I have been curious about stated AdBlue overfilling causing errors in T6 engine management. So with ”promise to rescue” :thumbsup: from my VW garage :inlove: I have been “overfilling” my AdBlue tank...
