...best. I also used premium fuel and all seemed well with no warning lights . Then 7 months later the coil light came on again 155160 and P0402 P20EE dpf?
Dealer said EGR required
I had to wait for booking apparently still ok to drive!
The coil light reset itself but I stopped driving annyway...
...T6 2019 with 173k miles is also on its third EGR and after 10k miles with the latest EGR has just started again with the same P0401, P204F / P20EE with the bonus of P164E - oil pressure regulation valve. Seems mad to need a new EGR again! Had the software updated last year, too.
I do a mix...
...which is on constantly now. Surprisingly, the van drives fine, with just a little loss of oomph in the higher revs.
The diagnostics code is P20EE SCR NOX catalyst efficiency below threshold (bank 1).
We’ve a Scottish roadtrip booked in four weeks time, and I’m thinking it’s time to bite...
Sounds eerily similar to how mine started (since commencement of ownership 2 nd hand at 60,000 miles ish in 2022).
Now the AdBlue tank probably needs replacing.
...600 miles it cleared itself. Now back home after doing a total of 2500 miles and the range is still showing 3000.
I plugged in VCDS today and had the P20EE fault and the Urea concentration showing as 0.0% whilst the fault was active. It’s now cleared. I’m guessing it might be a sensor glitch.
...— this could have been serious (low oil pressure under high load/revs), so keep an eye on the warning light!
Occasional issues:
Error code P20EE 00
Strange AdBlue messages from time to time, but they clear themselves.
Latest faults might possibly be fixed with a software update (still...
Hi there, I'm having same problem with P20EE error code. My situation is a bit more complicated, as I bought my van 2016 150BHP with 203.000 km: the previous owner mapped out EGR, DPF and ADBLUE. He put all back, as I asked him as condition to make the purchase. At the beginning I had the...
Van was in again last week. They have said there apparently is a J623 software update which they have done. Initially had P20ee codes pending after a shortish 30 mile drive home
Did 245 mile round trip on Wednesday no codes present but Adblue range dropped 800 miles for the 245 mile trip. At...
Yes, normal.
What means "under load"?
During DPF regeneration perhaps?
Peak values do not count - what's the average of the NOx readings over a journey?
What's the engine software version?
Just the fault codes but not the dash emission light?
Sounds normal.
Found the above in your earlier...
...it becomes ACTIVE in live data? Mine takes a go
I’m also seeing high NOx readings under load (sometimes over 1000ppm) and getting sporadic P20EE fault codes on longer runs. Regens are happening between 120–160 miles depending on motorway or around-town driving. Any ideas appreciated.
I’m...
still on my continued quest to get VW to resolve the EML SCR reductanct issue
again no faults found!!!
The technicians assured me that this time they had been in touch with Milton Keynes Head Office and to my suprise the dealership told me today they have updated the software in an attempt to...
Thanks for your response @mmi - I regularly do long runs in the van so no idea why I haven't had any had any soot-related faults. Only P20EE and P204F.
My current thinking is that the adblue injector should be checked, and then perhaps the DPF should be replaced, as the soot in the exhaust must...
Thanks for this @mmi The software was updated when I took it to VW for the P20EE fault. This seemed to buy me a bit more time before the EML came back, but it still did. Usually I was getting it around every few hundred miles after clearing but after the update it took around 1000 miles I would...
P20EE is only indication of excessive NOx level in the exhaust - just a monitoring "circuit" - not even pinpointing the NOx sensor itself being at fault. Not sure if soot covering would make it read "high" NOx levels.
So just need to figure out why the NOx levels are too high. The AdBlue system...
...Also, yes running original VW software, no remaps. They did their software update for me a few months back at the main dealer.
I have had P20EE come up for me around 5-6 times, which I have been clearing, but P204F has only come up for me once.
Not sure how the garage concluded the SCR...
Is there actually soot in the tailpipe?
Within your ownership? Running original VW software - no remaps?
Have you been clearing the faults - as they both show only frequency=1?
Do you get the below often - as it was now intermittent and not confirmed (=was not at fault when scanned)?
How...
...miles) or about a year, spent the first 6 months (and around £6K) converting it into a camper, and since using it regularly it's been throwing P20EE (SCR NOx Catalyst Efficiency Too Low) and P204F (Reductant System Performance Bank 1) codes at me on and off.
VW Main Dealer already did a...
Whilst I totally understand that this shouldn’t happen, we lived with this same symptom (PO20ee) occasionally popping up- and like you say ACC engaged and motorway cruising. Bought cheapo code reader and reset as necessary. YMMV though
...screen shot suggests soot and EGR are all ok).
On the last visit they say they cant find the issue and nowhere left to go. Always the P20ee and 31103 SCR Bank 1 efficiency. Now with customer complaints as getting ridiculous they cant fix after multiple attempts. Under warranty but they seem...
