Well, in the DPF there surely is no soot to burn. Personally I wouldn't bother. Instead I would run the EGR test to capture the new pressure readings across the DPF ;)

Thanks for the response! Sorry been away with work and haven't had much time to respond. That seems to be the consensus, I can't see anything obvious with the connectors themselves, any recommendations on the best way to test wiring
So, I've been getting the all too common P046C fault code along with P2457 (Insufficient EGR Cooling Performance). Neither alone will flag a check engine light but combined they sometimes seem to. To try to figure out what is going on, I ran an EGR Flow test on VCDS using instruction from @mmi...
Hmmm... I would say that the test and especially the code most likely relate to EGR cooler.
For EGR valve not operating properly I would expect to see code P046C

Good to know. I do 100 miles a day when I use it, all dual carriageway to and from work. Usually rumbling along at 60 at just over 2k rpm. That keep the DPF clear you reckon?
Hi all, I’ve just had the engine management light come up and it is Fault code P2457 egr cooling system - performance problem, has anyone had any issues with this and is it an easy fix or anything I can do to clean egr system out etc, can has been driving fine and don’t do any short runs at low...
Hi
I've got a VW t6 102 and have a couple of issues. I recently had my egr replaced as it was blocked. since this work was carried out I have an engine fault for egr low flow. I've also noticed when I rev my engine and let the revs die off it makes a noise around the airfilter housing like a...
...on a short drive the engine management light came on. Looked at it with VCDS and had mainly the two errors P040D00 and P040C00, which are EGR temperature sensor 1 having a short circuit to plus and minus.
These seem to be infrequent errors, but the frequency at which they occurred (shorting...
The EGR is around £600 for the part and £1000 ISH fitted by the main dealer.
Id expect the job to be around £800-£1100 depending where you took it.
£1400 seems high for an EGR replacement.
Id get a second opinion.
Fyi they do clog up, and it's a common job on a T6. They will need changing...
I recently had an EGR delete on my 2016 T6 to try and fix my EML woes.
After reading further up on the forum, I would have probably been better (at first at least) to update the ECU to the latest version.
My question is, if I take my van to VW for the ECU update will the EGR delete be...
Hi all,
Code P0401 and engine light on - have been to three garages and all suggest EGR / cooler need replacing…….again! Last one has lasted about 10k. Engine light has turned itself off twice over last month or so lastly after not driving the van for a week but returned about 100 miles into...
I've just been querying the same thing... Had a similar response from dark side but a bit cheaper. (Presume as it's a 150 CXFA)
"The EGR Delete Kit would need to be installed, we have it listed here - £185.00+VaT - VW Transporter T6 2.0 TDI EGR and Cooler Delete Kit
Fitting Costs - £300+VAT...
I have a 2018 caravelle 204 DSG with only 21000 on the clock, which has developed a crack in the rear EGR pipe, I have called numerous local garages all of whom are busy for the next couple of weeks. So I was wondering if using the van in current state will do any further damage, obviously will...

As per link here are some Darkside Developments T5 T6 EGR cooler blanking plates for 2.0 bitdi 180 CFCA used on my engine for a few months. All good re useable condition as...
