Long time lurker here.. Got a 2018 van, fitted with the utterly shocking (dangerous, stupid, rubbish, pathetic, etc) H4 headlights and need to make a change. Also have a 2017 Passat GTE with LEDs, so a bit spoilt and know what good lights should look like, but can't justify the cost of LED...

Has anyone tried the Osram Nightbreakers H4 LEDs on a T6? Does it give any canbus error or flickering?

You can put H7 headlamp units in, fairly cheap, and these will let you put in H7 bulbs. Better than H4 which are so bad you literally can’t give them away. There are different brands of H7s which claim to be up to 200% brighter than your average bear. Better still is to fit LED headlamp units...

I just opened your link to find they’re discounted at the mo. Also, they don’t seem to mention an extra charge for the H4 loom.

There are MOT compliant H4 halogen lamps that will provide a very small improvement but in my experience, to get a significant improvement you'll have to change your headlights for H7 or proper LED units. There are many pages of content on this forum about both options.

I've had three MOTs passed since bunging mine in but I'm sure they wouldn't be road legal as they're far brighter than the stock MOT compliant 55 watt H4 Halogen lamp and that obviously can't be safe. Fit them if you want brighter H4 headlights as anything other than the VW Led array headlight...

The DRL Pin was working with H4 before. So it is connected to the right Pin on BCM. I took it from the H4 connector and put it on the Led Connector. Same procedure as driver side. And this is working fine. DRL on driver side works fine. On passenger side it is not working at all. The Led...

That's the DRL. Does the DRLs work on your H4 headlights? If so, then should work fine on H7s. Check the DRL bulbs are properly inserted. And if they are LED; try turning them 180 degs in case they only work in one position. (positive to positive and negative to negative)

I’ve fitted a couple of zethors H4 LED Bulbs they are a lot better but bring the bulb warning light on the dash now and again
