Can't you drop the dpf as far as it goes without damaging the wiring and drop thar side of the heatsheld to get access?

If the DPF is working correctly, you shouldn't get any black smoke, it should all be trapped then burnt off, and the inside of the tailpipe should be clean as a whistle. Add mine to the list @Dellmassive . 2017 CXEB 65k - small turbo seized solid - replacement turbo and had DPF professional cleaned as a precaution, even though it had no signs of excessive soot. Compression test perfect and no signs of any high oil usage. Pretty sure it related to poor oil heat...

Completed DPF regen The soot amount has dropped to -2.80, not entirely sure why a negative number is show there

I suspect that most on here are, where possible, taking precautions to minimise the risk of DPF issues - like avoiding lots of short journeys.

I am pretty sure you can’t just blank the EGR off and leave the DPF in place.

Thanks for the reply - I’ve recently had the DPF cleaned and engine light came back on after the clean. The cleaner guy then said my ad blue was crystallised so he cleaned that also. Worked ok for week and drove lovely now this new code up as in post. Before the dpf clean it was code P2020 so...

I have read AdBlue struggles if EGR is blocked off due to the increase of nox and will eventually fail.
