Hello,
I just installed the sonal panels in the roof and now I need to connect the cables to the leisure battery. However it is not clear how to run the cable from rear to the front.
I have route the cables from the roof into the van like the following picture. So the cables are in the 'wheel...
I am trying to figure out the best way to routecables from under my drivers seat base (which will have various bits of kit installed) to the void in the side panel behind the B pillar and then along the void to an electrical compartment under my furniture.
I am wondering about drilling a hole...
Is there anywhere at the rear to run cables into the back of the van from the rear, into the drivers rear quarter panel ? Re-converting our van and at some point someone has ran some cables up through the gas vent near the rear wheel arch where the gas cupboard was. We are going induction...
Hi all,
I'm currently trying to figure out the best way to get some cables from my Clayton LPS which I think I'm fitting under the RIB bed next to the kitchen, to the opposite (near) side.
I've been searching the forum but couldn't find much matching this setup.
The cables will be to power 12V...
Yes...
Follow the OEM route.
Starter battery.
Through firewall.
Behind glove box.
To center line.
Through cable tunnel.
Over to seats.
Turn to each seat.
There is a download for the OEM cableroute....
Ok, three questions from your photos
1. Where did you route the mic?
2. Do you have a MFSW as I don't have that cable that is next to MIC?
3. Where did you route the USB-C cable?
In the below YouTube, the guy calls it the yellow "media cable" at 6.08
As above. Once you get the floor up you'll see the various cableroutes and most of these will have room for another cable or two.
Remember to protect the cables where they pass through the bulkhead.
Hi, I have searched the forum and whilst there are many cable run threads I can’t see one for this.
I want to add some LED lights in the tailgate of an already converted camper with a pop top. The leisure battery is on the offside and there is a fuse box in the upper part of the “wardrobe” on...
I need to buy some cable to run from the starter battery to the area around the drivers side wheel arch.
I think the run will go into the van behind the leisure battery, under the seats and up the drivers b pillar then across below the window height and out through the panel above the wheel...
I’ve had a search and can’t find any info on the best route in a van that’s fully converted with the kitchen, high kitchen units and pop top.
I’d rather get some advice before I start removing panels etc.
I don’t know whether to go up or down with it.
It’s a LWB with barn doors.
Anyone done...
And,
Do I even need to run cables through that route!?
If there is already cables connecting scr leisure (it’s located next too) and starter, can I not just introduce amt12-2 in there somewhere?
If you follow the cables from the starter battery you should find a cableroute there behind the glovebox

I have in hand a new toy - 100w Renogy folding solar suitcase, and Victron MPPT 75/15 ready to set up (thanks to some great advice from here)
Does anyone have good routes to run the leads to outside? My battery is underneath the drivers seat, and the most obvious location for the MPPT is...
Hi all,
I've had a little search in the forum but can't find my answer.
Is there a secondly grommet other than the one behind the starter battery?
I want to put my 240v hook under the bonnet but someone said mention that the 240v should be keep away from the 12v. I already have a 12v cable...
Same fault code, same broken cable. Charge cooler was changed a couple of weeks ago so I guess it was due to slight change in cable / pipe routing when that was done. Love this forum - saved me hours of stress.
So when i was planning my van i was going to install leisure battery and controller in the rear. However when my poptop install went ahead i didnt realise they were bringing the solar cable thats behind the poptop framework to the pillar behind drivers seat.
the cable is long enough to direct...
