2017 204 4Motion DSG - White smoke from exhaust on start up and clears up after short run - Advice Please

...gaps/ panels for respray etc . If it's metallic look at the flake for differences. Mayo in the oil filler is normal due to the long filler neck. As it smells of diesel, Initial thoughts are a leaking injector or faulty glow plug, but glow plug should be obvious as engine is normally...

    T6.1 wax under oil cap

It is normal, I cleared the goo from the filler neck before driving to the Alps last week. After driving 1300 miles over two long journeys there is muck in the filler neck again and no coolant loss. When I first noticed this after buying my van two years ago I had that horrible sinking feeling...

Foam on oil cap and strong blow-by 204

I did that when I checked my oil the other week. The benefit of the long filler neck is that you don’t lose much oil. And the cap was trapped under the bonnet so was still there, which was a bonus. I only realised because I could see smoke coming from the bonnet after a couple of miles. I’d say...

Foam on oil cap and strong blow-by 204

Hi I’ve got a T6 with the 204 BiTDI engine and upon opening the bonnet and looking at the oil cap I found a large amount of white/brownish foam on the cap and neck. I then started the engine and most of it blew out however some still remains. It is 2 and a half years old and has only done just...

Diesel leak after fill up [Resolved]

Hi all. I’ve have my t6.1 for less than a week, today I filled it up for the first time and as I was paying for the fuel I looked back at the van and noticed the usual aircon water dripping but further back was another leak I could see. So when I got back to the van to look the second leak was...

    Condensation around oil filler

Hi @Shafi … 99% certain it’s condensation…the Norfolk roads aren’t fast and long so no doubt you do a lot of stop/starting and the 204 engine like to run warm ..so this time of year on the cool nights the engine cools quick and we get that emulsified crap in the filler neck ..try to avoid short...

EML and AdBlue message. Advice please

Thank you very much for this. It seems to have been some sort of sensor issue/reset to do with remapping. Remap guy was incredibly helpful - understood it was overfilled due to warning sign and advised me to drive back to London as long as no red lights to use up overfill. 100 miles into...

So I looked in the engine bay..and then the oil filler

Mine is still the same after long drives. Now done 7500 miles and still full of scuzzy mayo. AA man said totally normal because of the long plastic filler neck.

So I looked in the engine bay..and then the oil filler

Just checked mine and mayo in the tube. Only has 2200 miles. It could be due to the long filler neck cooling off. A watch on oil and water levels is needed I think.

    Multiple Engine Management Faults

@hwd612 I would be interested how your van is after you do about 250-300miles since he did the work you mention. I really can't see it being due to the way we fill the AdBlue. If this was the case then it wouldn't just be us 150 owners suffering as I'm sure 204 owners are doing it the same...
