    Sliding door deadlock issue (T5.1)

I discovered an odd issue with the deadlock for the sliding doors on my 2011 T5.1 Caravelle. Manual doors but with silent close. Twin sliders. Lock or lock normally with key fob. All good. Deadlocks work as expected. Lock or unlock with the interior lock. All doors locked but no...

    Slider doesn’t close flush

so, that didn’t work unfortunately @n10n I’ve done a bit of invest with a borrowed snap-on tester which a friend kindly let me borrow. From what little I know all the related codes to do with the door are saying intermittent. Took the carpeted door panels off (with hidden screws…shit job) and...

Hi all - I need some help or advice FAST! - been having issues with left side electric sliding door on my T6 Caravelle. Ordered parts which were wrong and wasn’t able to finish the fix. Managed to close the door. New part arrived but the top runner has popped out whilst trying to open the door...

What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

Had to get Vera`s first Mot. My god I hate taking it to the Chelmsford dealership. Had issues with my electric sliding doors since new and read the thread on here about a possible fuse issue. They have now looked at it 3 times and never done anything. As soon as I mentioned the fuse they said...

    Power-closing door problem [Resolved]

Thanks, pulling fuses is indeed a good idea to try out! I was just staring wiring diagrams trying to figure out if pulling 40A maxi blade from under left seat would be enough - looks like that so far. Seems central locking will go as well but that's ok if I can lock the door from inside.

Using a power bank for led lighting

My approach has been very similar, if this info is any good to you. I wanted a very flexible van, and that included the electrics. I didn't have a LB. So I got a Power Bank, and happy it could actually sit virtually anywhere in rear of kombi, til I deiced where it may reside permanently. (if...

12v LED Puck Lights Wiring Diagram

Thank you for your reply! I have attached a photo of the fuse board which will be under the drivers seat, the switch will be on the back of the B pillar just inside the sliding door and I've also attached an image of what the lights themselves look like. Thank you!

    Power-closing door problem [Resolved]

I’ve just operated the sliding door manually for all this time. But couple of days ago I popped the fuse back in and now the door just works. The jury is still out if it got really fixed or if it working now is just happenstance ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I guess if it stays working there could be some truth in...

Hi from Brisbane, Thanks for giving me a membership. I have an automatic sliding door problem on my 2017 VW Multivan.

Thanks for giving me a membership. I have an automatic sliding door problem on my 2017 Multivan. From the fob and center console only the soft close motor activated, but not the sliding action. No sound coming from the motor either. Checked fuses under bonnet, under seats, in the center column...

Wanted 7H0959991 Power-Closing Door Sender Unit

The coil clips into the upper rail, there is a transponder on the upper bracket and between the two data is passed to and from the door. Have you checked the control units in the rear quarter panel? It is common for water to leak in past the slide motor seal and get into the unit apparently...

Using a power bank for led lighting

This is exactly what I’m looking to do, literally need a Ecoflow to power a fridge and charge devices. I am looking at the alternator charger. Regarding hook up, I often use a the same consumer unit above plug into site and run fridge outside in my event shelter/base tent for the trip on longer...

    Power Latching Retrofit Kits

Evening folks, a slightly overdue follow-up after fitting my sliding door power latching kit from @Pauly ....if you're in two minds about whether to or not, my 2p worth would be just to do it. It sounds a minor thing, getting rid of the swoosh-bang, but even on my driveway when I need to get...

    10mm2 cable Fuse Box SH

Under my passenger seat I have what looks to be a 10mmsq cable which I’m lead to believe can be used for a DC-DC charger, negative coming from chassis. I was originally thinking of a Victron 12/12/30 unit which would be mounted in a cupboard I intend to make and located under the non sliding...

T6.1 Door Mirror Operation after battery disconnect.

That is my concern. I reverse in and the front of the van is tight against a wall either side. If they unfolded they would definitely scrape. I exit via the sliding door, where I have plenty of room. To be certain maybe I need to work out which fuse(s) is/are responsible and remove them first...

    Pop top lighting

I have my main leisure electrics under both front seats, but run a big power cable to a fuse box near the base of the c pillar where my fridge lives, and the lighting circuit is powered off this. So power from under the passenger seat, up the b pillar, above the sliding door, down the c pillar...

Bluetooth amplifier for rear speakers running from leisure battery

No problem. Yes, since the unit is designed to run at automotive voltage, the mains transformer isn’t necessary. Power goes from my LB to my switch panel, then to a fuse, then to the unit. My rear speaker cables go to the main loom that runs fore<>aft above the passenger sliding door...

Reversing Camera - wiring harness route

I thus presume I am back to first plan. Either- A) run off starter battery with supplied live fuse kit (which does has low voltage protection) B) find a way to run off leisure Both solutions require me to route rear camera cable though driver side cupboards or above sliding door void. I...
