Briefly, the software update and oil level check I had on mine, sorted out the issue. Get it to the dealership to sort out. It's under warranty so don't wait.

6.1’s are well known for the ‘oil level too high’ error due to regens not being completed. I loosely watch mine get to 95% accumulation and then keep a closer eye on it once the regen takes place.

In addition to the good points raised above, check the oil level, if the oil is high on the dipstick, i.e. over the maximum, this could indicate dpf problems and failed regenerations. It's unlikely to be low as the seller should have checked it prior to your visit.
