    Solar charging figures

If you're lying it flat on the van roof you wont get full power. Try tilting the panel towards the sun at around 30-45 degrees.

    Solar charging figures

...weekend even in full sun I wasn't getting nowhere near 200w. Thanks have popped it back on the roof again now while it's sunny and still the same. Just hovers around the 100w. Since upgrading g my LB to a Lithium I have changed the battery settings in the MPPT. Is there anything else that check?

What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

Finally had a solar panel fitted to the popup roof and switched the leisure battery over to Lithium. Chris also had a good look at what was draining the battery when left for a few days. They will remain nameless but 2 different installers had wired sockets to the live feed rather than the...

    Hillside Birchover

First time posting here, I picked up a 2024 Birchover a couple of weeks ago and on the whole I’m well chuffed, I had the fit a lithium battery and Victron Orion DC>DC, works a treat. Just trying to learn the van and followed most the posts on here, question I’ve got is does the solar to leisure...

    Vehicle Battery Discharging

That's great, thank you for taking the time to provide so much information. Gives me a lot to go on, starting with a battery monitor. If this is normal behavior then the trickle charger seems a good solution. Thanks once again.

T6 Day Van Build – Power Bank vs Leisure Battery, EHU & Heating Advice Needed

Im with @Bigsidavies on this, a small 100Ah ish lithium set up permanently in the van, and a removable powerbank too for use in or out of the van. Solar panels will keep the LB charged which will keep all your internal power suckers happy, no anxiety that way.

    Changing to a Lithium Charger

...and wish to upgrade my battery to a Victron 12,8v/100Ah SuperPack. Currently housing a 110Ah gel which isn't holding charge anymore. Lithium battery is on order. Van has a hookup which feeds the charger via a 240v breaker unit, which then seems to feed the 12v goods via a 12v breaker unit...

    Vehicle Battery Discharging

...will be topped up. https://www.t6forum.com/threads/guide-battery-maintainer-for-starter-battery-how-i-done-it.23652/ I now have a Fogstar Lithium leisure battery and an Ablemail battery maintainer, on the unfortunate longer periods when I don't use the van it keeps the starter battery at...

Finally bought a van - which converter to use?

...has Montana touch screen panel so you see exactly whats going off with charge from solar and current/power draw and how long left on lithium battery inside the Clayton unit. Engine alternator charges Clayton quickly when driving as it charges at high current (clayton is fixed in the van...

Lithium LifePo4 12v Batteries - Time For An Upgrade?

No isolator, I’m not a fan of them unless absolutely necessary. The solar is permanently on, so keeps the battery topped up. My battery has a “sleep” feature that basically shuts down the battery and isolates it from the outside world, never used it.

Lithium LifePo4 12v Batteries - Time For An Upgrade?

...will provide up to 50A output but if running both inputs will split the inputs to limit total output to 50A... saying that you can dial back the output to a calmer 30A so everything can run cooler. The Renogy will work with all battery types mine's on a Roamer seat base lithium iron phosphate...

Lithium LifePo4 12v Batteries - Time For An Upgrade?

Is it a case of 'simply' switching out the old leisure battery and changing for a Lithium or would I have to fit a DC to DC charger as well? Trying to find someone in Essex to do it for me but Im struggling to find anyone atm

Lithium LifePo4 12v Batteries - Time For An Upgrade?

...runs from one of the EHU skts on the side of the fridge housing behind the driver's seat. Edit 3 and received wisdom is to not leave your lithium battery at 100% full for months on end but to run something to take the battery down to midway if you're not going to be using it, similarly trying...

Lithium LifePo4 12v Batteries - Time For An Upgrade?

For people who have switched their leisure batteries to Lithium, did you also fit an isolator switch or charge system for when the van sits for a while and not being used?

That's Will off their Christmas card list! I'll stick with Roamer! Fascinating videos, thanks Dell!

Lithium LifePo4 12v Batteries - Time For An Upgrade?

Looks like the Yanky Battleborn lithium battery's have a design floor. That they are trying to say is a "feature".... I'd agree with will..... It's a design floor, and a bad one at that.

Need ideas for Consumer Unit location in tambour unit.

We have a auto term D2 heater fitted under the van.. Which leaves the seat bases completely free, as in our case we have the lithium batteries and electricals under there. Have a quick look at my camp up build thread and use the index at the front to jump to any relevant sections...

    New Fogstar DIN lifepo battery?

Oh nice, I'd not seen that one myself. More power would be better and Fogstar has a heater, does the work roamer? Has some clever tech you can plug in but not bothered by that. My only concern is those rs485 plugs stick up. Hopefully you can just remove them. Both on back order though
