EGR system blanking plates on the DNAA, t6.1

Hi, Does anybody know if If there are any EGR blanking plates available for the dnaa, t6.1 I was under the impression that the plates that are widely available for the t6 would fit, but I've been informed by Darkside developments that this is not the case and, The EGR system on the DNAA...

    EGR and DPF replacement

Hi All, 2020 T6.1 cxhc engine code I’m about to bite the bullet on replacing both my EGR and my DPF and wondering if there’s any brands to avoid. Van has been losing coolant slowly since I bought it roughly 5k miles ago. Need to top it up once every 3 weeks or so. No signs of a leak...

    EGR fault

My t6.1 was losing approx one litre of coolant every 600 miles as I’ve been monitoring it after a egr flush, finally after being at the dealers for four weeks they’ve installed a new egr under warranty. Now I thinking should I delete it the egr (remap)to stop it happening again which it...

    150ps losing coolant

Hi All - apologies if this is the wrong thread but unfortunately there are plenty of similar threads:(. My T6.1 (2021 DSG 90k km) has been losing coolant slowly over the past couple of months - it needs topping up every couple of weeks. I have asked my mechanic to quickly assess and he has...

    Buying advice. 2023 BiTDI.

CFCA is only problematic due to a shitty EGR cooler. if replaced or deleted in time they are fairly reliable and powerful. Sadly I've been missold a t5.1 with the oil consumption present already. I had to put a brand new crate engine which now has an egr delete. Run in service 1k miles and...

    Wonderful...or Woeful?

Did 3yrs and 40k in my T6 204, new EGR, DPF, turbos, catholic converter and a bunch of ad blue sensors and injector, over 10k spent fixing it and got rid of it just before it needed a new engine. Not the best experience but it was nice when it worked! Now in a T6.1 150 which feels lovely to...

Have you finished this build yet? Would love to see some pictures and understand how you managed it all in the end.

Hello from a possible new T6 owner!

I just make it a rule that our T6.1 campervan conversion is never driven on trips less than 10 miles (always with stop-start switched off) and aim to get the engine oil temperature to 90°C before switching off. I’ve experienced the expensive consequences of doing repeated short journeys in our...

    Fueling

I’m new to Transporters. I’ve had several Vito’s over the last 20 odd years. Always fancied a Transporter but was put off by the price delta on the market. Anyhoo, recently bought a very nice T6.1 (LWB, late MY22, 10k miles). I love it but find the fueling off a closed throttle very shonky...

EGR system blanking plates on the DNAA, t6.1

For me it was a case of, getting shot of the EGR, and Dpf, so adblue was coming out anyway. Nothing to do with saving a few quid, The problems are full and plenty with adblue systems, my gauge is telling me that I've constantly got 18,000 miles left atm

EGR Delete & AdBlue Delete With DPF Still In-Place

That I am not sure. I was told "blanked and coded out". This was done as it kept getting fault codes. What remapping should I be asking for as it's going back in next week for a different job and they could do the remapping if not already done?

Hello from a possible new T6 owner!

I don't think any of my work vans have had DPF, we run them into the ground, hense why a couple of seized injectors forced my employer to buy another van. It all sounds a bit scary if I'm honest.

    Buying advice. 2023 BiTDI.

Both the VW 2.0 BiTDi CXEC (199hp) and DMZA (204hp) engines are reliable, updated twin-turbo powerplants used in late T6 and T6.1 Transporters. They lack the major oil consumption issues of earlier T6 models (like the CFCA), offering better longevity through improved engineering, with the DMZA...

Hi I'm a new member here and I've tried to search engine but can't find a "buyers guide...buyers beware" bit on the forum? Is there one for anyone looking to buy a VW T6 or T6.1 etc I was about to buy one of 2 vans, a 2.0 BiTDI T32 BlueMotion Tech Highline Crew Van Double Cab 5dr Diesel DSG...

Adblue and dpf and egr questions

If it had a flush - why did it have a flush? Can you check - Was it the EGR or the DPF that had a flush? There was a reason they did it and the reason is likely to be that it likely needs a new one whatever it was. In the steering wheel menu (for T6.1 anyway) you can go through settings and it...

    T6.1 no good?!!

I've seen the value of T6.1 go up in last 6 months by about 5% in VW dealer's lot. This is the best van I've driven. However - am worried about DPF/EGR etc but no more I would be with any other modern diesel.

That's why I dropped a tsi into my t6.1 I won't own another diesel with today's bolt on emissions scandal, bs climate tax charge, dpf block up scrap, egr failure bore wear, add blue junk piece challenge, emission sensor failure bollo ks. And to top it all off, it's now a ford I'll run my...
