Got there in the end. Electrics in the rain... When you have an ex RAC van, it's a restoration project as well as a camper conversion!

After all the bad experience mentioned on forum id expect the figure to show the opposite of what they do, my ex rac has been quite good no breakdowns yet still a few wear and tear changes costing a couple of grand and a lot more in upgrades and still now where near finish, how about a thread on...

Hi, new to the group and have a 2018 ex RAC that I’m trying to sort the wiring like above to put in a swivel double seat! I’m relocating the new leisure battery and was wondering if the 10mm red cable going into the 100 relay is direct to the battery or somewhere else. Thanks

Lots have people have been down the ex-RAC or ex-AA van route. These are generally well maintained, highish mileage and relatively well specced vans. Some go through auctions which could be a route to an affordable base van?

Hi guys I have just bought a ex rac t6 transporter and would like too get some power back too the electrics they have decommissioned in the rear of the van does anyone have any wiring diagrams for fuse diagrams for these ? Thanks in advance

I couldn't tell you, as it came part-converted, unfortunately. The only work they'd done was the bumpers (badly) and towbar removal. I totally agree, re paint. Someone bashed in that small panel below the filler cap and I had to strip it down, hammer it out, fill it and paint it. I paid top...

Ex rac 120,000 miles when the vans been sitting it can take over a minute before you can feel drive engage. Reverse is ok. It is noisy at gearbox ‘faint rattle’ when driving! goes up gears ok but snatches a bit coming down on 5th 3rd . Any thoughts? Oil service has been done

I've just bought an ex rac t6. I've been told the rac t32s have uprated Suspension. Not sure if that's springs and dampers. The ride is awful. Very boaty and the steering seems really light. It's going to be a work van but won't be carrying no more than 100kgs at time. I'd like it a bit lower...
