Hi, I was getting the common p2006 fault code and the flashing coil light, spent £900 getting a genuine inlet manifold and I am still getting the fault, anyone have any ideas what else I can try? I know I could get it mapped but checking it’s nothing else silly, mechanic said he checked vacuum...
Hi, I recently bought a van and fault started with a p2006 code (runner not closed)
I have tested all functions using a vacuum tester
pump on the manifold arm seems to move freely solenoid opens and closes as I believe it should tested with 12v direct to pins
After doing this the fault went...
Backstory? Which engine exactly - the engine code on sticker under dash by steering column? What's the mileage?
What about the vacuum?
Does the actuator move freely?
Any associated freeze frame data - a snapshot of engine data when the fault was registered?
...into limp mode. Later that evening the emision control light came on
Initially I used a basic code reader and pulled the following code:
P2006 Intake Manifold Runner Control Stuck Closed Bank 1a
2 days later, no lights on the dash and van driving fine again.
I took the van to my local van...
...occasionally with apparently no rhyme or reason.
This had been happening for quite a few months.
My basic OBD scanner gave the manifold code p2006.
Took it for a service, they said difficult to work out what's going on because 19 codes came up.
They cleared the codes and i've been told to...
Hi did you find out what was wrong. Have just gotten the same error codes. First got P2006 and have replaced the entire manifoil with all the sensors that were on. Then I got the wrong P2017 that I haven't gotten before.
Have a volkswagen Caravelle (multivan) 2016 T6
Afternoon gents......and ladies!
Here we go again!! Carista says P2006 Intake Manifold Runner Control Control Bank 1: Stuck Closed. Also P200600.....and the same mesage. But this time, I also got an amber engine management light. I have a feeling it's coming on as the engine gets...
Had the same code - p2006 and also P304900 activation starter relay circuit on my 2016 T6. Had the manifold changed as advised so it’s covered to 75000 miles now and the yellow light is coming back on occasionally resulting in loss of power. I haven driven both motorway and short trips to mix...
Hi,
I have a VW T6 2016.
I had problems with the intake manifold (Code P2006) and it was replaced with a new one. But now I get the fault code P2017.
Can anyone help me with a solution to this problem?
is it possible that it is the solenoid valve that is broken?
Greatly appreciate any help!
Hey, i had a problem with my egr, was leaking, so i already put a new one.
Now i start to remove the intake, because i was getting the p2006 code.
Can you give me some tips?
Cheers
Luís
They are the same one - P2006 is generic OBD-code, 16399 is VW equivalent..
16399 = P2006 - Intake Manifold Flap; Bank 1 - Stuck Closed
E.g. in the VCDS scan here
https://forums.ross-tech.com/index.php?threads/31173/
Please post full engine section of the scan - lessens guesswork what engine it's all about.
Anyways, usually the fault code indicates missing earth (negative) connection - thus a wiring fault.
...Re the fault 15560 (=P046C) have you already checked these threads:

Update. New inlet manifold fitted but still getting the fault p2006 or p2004 fault codes. Actuator stuck open or stuck shut. Driving fine though. Any ideas?
...have this same problem, I’ve had a new actuator, vacuum checked and in the end a complete new intake manifold, but still getting the fault code P2006 - Intake Manifold Runner Control Stuck Closed Bank1? Local independent garage really struggling to find the fault? Not sure if it’s related but...
Thank you for that information. I removed the air filter, cleaned it and blew out the air filter sensor. I then re-started the van and let it come up to temperature then took it for a drive for about 3 miles. The glow plug light and the exhaust fault light has now gone off. Would you anticipate...
