Yes. Starter battery. OK great, not that bothered if start/stop does not work for a while. Only use the van on long trips and never in town so not much call for start/stop anyway.

Van starts happy enough and stop start is working. However if I leave the van for a few days it reports low battery charge by driving error.

Yes that's totally normal, most commonly heard with a full fuel tank and when you come to a stop and the stop start kicks in you will hear it sloshing about.
