Windscreen Wipers

Can anyone please confirm: are the Aero Twin blades the same for T6 and T6.1? Some of the sites (wiperblades,co,uk, windscreenwipers.co.uk etc.) keep defaulting to Transporter 2015-2019 when I enter my reg, or if I enter T6.1 come up with "No wipers currently matched to your vehicle". Does the A351S model fit a '73 plate van or not? 🤔
You can just pop into Halford next time you are in Town they supply and will also fit if you like.

Thanks, might do that. There's a GSF Parts just near Halfords here as well, they appear to have the same and slightly cheaper. Just wanted to confirm from the knowledge base here so I can order them online for click & collect (24% discount, the pair come in at about £28)

I think the kids (showing my age ) at Halfords do a great job - they've helped me out a couple of times when I was struggling with wiring my dashcam and tracker. But seven quid to fit wiper blades (not sure if that's just for one, or if it's the same for a pair) is crazy. I'm pretty rubbish at DIY and certainly anything mechanical, but I just popped my new Bosch blades on in the car park at GSF - took about 20 seconds!

They’re missing a trick, they’d make more money if they took the old ones off for free and then you haggle over the price to fit the new.

You are so right, the young kids at Halford do a great job. When we bought a car for our daughter fo passing her test while studying at Uni now qualified it was a little rush and a the lights in her 2021 Dacia Duster 4x4 where a bit dim the fastest way to have new dip beam bulbs was just to go to Halford. It is a bit tight in the engine bay hardly any room to manipulate the bulbs and get the alignment tangs in the correct way. I asked could they fit them. A short while later a very young Lady most likely school age I imagine came out with the packets of the bulbs I had ordered and fitted them in no time at all no fiddling about took old out replaced the with the new bulbs correctly oriented placed the old bulbs in the discarded new packets closed the bonnet and that was it. Their was a time when I would fit them my self and felt slighted when asked would I like them fitted but now so little room and also other things in the way. She was so confident and then when she had checked here work just started doing something for another customer. I think that it is great for kids especially young ladies to have that confidence in an area that was once a mans preserve. Good for her good for them!

I did realign them myself on a sheet hung over a field gate. Went for a drive around the country lanes and they where great huge improvement! I would have liked to have bought some motoring recommended best bulbs but no time and the Halford ones where far better than manufacturers choice. I may have the main beams done as well but daughter has landed her first job in Germany so she will only be here for a little while longer and although she will be driving over their she is leaving her car with us. She is hoping to have a roof tent and believe it or not a snorkel for Off Roading and insurance against flooded lanes. :)
