will my old head unit fit into another Transporter and work ok

I changed my head unit and the old one is sitting in the cupboard collecting dust, so I have gave it to my mate who has a T5 but I am unsure if the old unit will only work in my van. The old unit is the rcd 330 I think which has DAB and cd only so If anyone can tell me if it will work I would really appreciate it

That’s a generic unit, which if physically fits then will work fine. May need alternative electrical connectors though.
worth checking on the T5 forum as that unit is popular

Cheers Wills, he will be using a pro fitter so I'm sure he will have the correct kit to make it fit

RCD and RNS radios have a good old fashioned code. The code is only needed if it gets fitted into another vehicle. You always used to be able to get a code from the dealers if you had the serial number and the original vehicles VIN.
