I have been trying to work out why i have an error code stating that there is no communications with the USB ports in the 5F Module. I looked at the FEC codes list, these relate to:
This is weird, since the T6.1 should support these. I learnt that the previous owner swapped out the radio, so perhaps this is the reason why - even though VW have removed component protection, if the radio comes from a different model perhaps its looking for a different USB module, or doesnt have these things activated as standard. But the FEC codes above shouldnt affect the USB module right? I can't even plug in a USB stick with MP3s on, so not sure how the above would help.
How do i activate these?
- 00060300 – MirrorLink / App‑Connect
- 00060800 – Apple CarPlay support.
- 00060900 – Android Auto / Google Automotive Link support.
- 00060100 – Vehicle data interface (SAI_VehicleData)
