Which diagram? LED interior lights

Hey guys.

Hoping for a bit of help.

I'm adding some lighting to the back of my van.

It's these led strip lights (8 of them)
Lot 50CM 36 LED 5630SMDs 9W Aluminum Shell Rigid Hard Strip Bar Light Lamp DC12V | eBay

I've got an OEM ground from the cabin.

I've got a positive feed from a spare fuse port on the fuse box, and inserted a 7.5A fuse here.

The positive and negative run through the cabin and into the rear, straight into a light sensor.

From here I need some help on how to wire up the lights.

Do I go with option A or option B?

(Option A is image 7758
Option B is image 7757)

Option A (messy as it looks) is easier in practice - I can branch out a pair of cables to each led light from a single point; easy for cable runs

Option B - is this better as it's wired in parallel? (Not even sure what option A is)

Or is there a third option I haven't thought of?

In contrast to the diagrams, the positive and negative of the leds comes out of the same end on all lamps, it was just easier to draw them this way.

Thanks in advance!

They are some beauties of diagrams, love it
There are essentially the same thing though by the looks of it as long as they are all wired in parallel and receive 12 volts each should be fine
Just make sure whatever light sensor you are using is capable of running them all at the same time and you should be good to go

Why thank you, it felt very much like I was back in DT class!

Thanks for the info, is option A even a parallel circuit? I couldn't actually work it out

Great stuff, thanks.

Any brownie points for another fuse between the leds and the motion sensor?

Or no point?

isn't 7.5 amps a rather large fuse? I remember working it out in my last van and all my led lights went through a 1 amp fuse....

Diagram B will use a lot less wire and be easier to hide / manage up in the roof panel.

If you were using single strand wire, you could also use the grounding post in the rear of the van (behind the panel near the d pillar).
