im getting the Autoterm D2 fitted next week (with remote) - Camberwell, surrey.

This second van needs to be a daily driver ,80% of the time, and a camper 20% of the time. That means shopping, underground carparks, school runs, vet runs, driving uptown and to the family... Cinema, seaside, etc etc. So a crafter or man etc is not an option for us at this stage as the are...

Just plug in the VCDS :thumbsup: Stamped on the joint between engine and gearbox - states the workshop manual :rolleyes: DNAA comes with 6 speed gearbox, DNAB with 5 speed gearbox 5 (as well as DNAC - 66 kW variant but probably not imported into the UK)? EDIT: Thus DNAB we got any other...

Thanks for the info, some good points there. Was fancying the B pillar vents but I have furniture where the outlet comes out so that rules that out, especially as it’s also where the fridge is. Narrowed my search down the Kirknalls and Cosmic Campers whom both appear to be competent installers. Also need to consider location of controller for ease of access even though I’ll have remote. Like look of it in cab roof centre console but probably more practical to have in back somewhere. Seen some on B pillar. I have low level furniture down one side so may look at putting on pillar between windows.
Id recommend going to the autoterm head office in wrexham, they also offer the best price. My friend got quoted £1150 at cosmic campers and £900 at wrexham. Go figure...
@Wolfster i had mine fitted by Cosmic 4 years ago and they were very good. Went above and beyond with my slightly awkward install and wiring routing. They had a very ‘can do’ attitude. They did it while I waited and kept me supplied with coffee too.
Had an issue after a few months and they had it straight back and sorted it immediately. It wasn’t a fault with their install btw.

Hi @Wolfster, just I'm looking to get a heater installed in our van and wondered how things went at Kirkwall's - any feedback would be really helpful.

It went well and happy with the install. I went for the Eberspacher and had the WiFi app control option so I don’t need a controller mounted inside the cab, it’s all done via the app. Saved about £100 by not having the controller and there is an override button if need be. Best thing is to go and speak to them, thy know their stuff and I know its done safe especially regarding exhaust
