hi Guys,
well, after many years of yearning, i finally took the plunge and bought a van (and loving it so far!)
she's currently a standard Kombi and we have plan to use her as a camper, so with much consideration, i think the first thing to do is to get a new roof for her.

I've narrowed it down to the Hilo (i like the low profile) or a Reimo.
- does anyone have any recommendations as to which one is better?
(i'm aware this will probably come down to personal choice)
- also does anyone have any recommendations of who/where's best to fit them?
(i'm based in north Manchester but happy to travel a wee bit if needed)

thank you all

Make contact with Hilo direct. I believe that they are now doing fittings straight from their factory in Preston Lancs.

The search function is great on this forum so definitely worth having a look over past posts.

I personally have just booked in for a skyline poptop to be fitted early July, I originally was sold on a hi lo but the reduced head height put that to bed.

As you say it’s personal preference and budget really.

We have an Austop on our van very happy with it - good quality and reasonable price, TUV approved and a 5 year warranty. Although to be fair its what our converter supplied so I have no experience of other makes.
