Want to put silent coat on it.... shall I scrape it off and then apply

It’s cold cavity wax applied at the factory

It’s wax for sure, noticed it in all sorts of crevices when I’ve been sound deadening the van. I sprayed some adhesive spray over the wax just for that extra “stick” silent coat went on fine! Wheel arch covers back in and tyre back on I’ll do the other this week.
